In cooperation with the make-up bar owner Bea Petri we have supported an aid program for Burkina Faso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Burkina Faso is one of the poorest countries in the world, the area of the country is about seven times that of Switzerland. The country has a population of 13.7 million people, the unemployment rate is about 60% and the literacy rate is about 30%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Burkina Faso is considered the center of African film-making. Every two years the city of Ouagadougou hosts the largest film festival in Africa under the name FESPACO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2001, a professional tailoring school under the name \"NAS MODE\" has been run by Safi Ouattara Diallo, who has also made a name for herself as a costume designer for theater, film and TV productions. However, there was almost no knowledge of make-up or cosmetics. She was provided with the existing rooms of the principal Safi Ouattara Diallo, but it soon became clear that the rooms provided were unsuitable and above all too small. Mrs. Bea Petri therefore had a neighboring property renovated with her own funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs. Bea Petri has the task to teach the tailors with simple means in the subjects cosmetics and mask design. All necessary materials had to be imported and were financed by Bea Petri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Already after the first training course under the direction of Bea Petri one could shoot a commercial spot, this was a good advertisement for the school. \"NAS MODE\" offers a simple care program for the population and therefore helps to generate modest income.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our help came about through the personal friendship of Mrs. Beatrice Sch\u00e4fli and Mrs. Bea Petri. To support this project is an honor for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At \"NAS MODE\" it is clearly regulated that all donations and aid projects arrive directly and completely where they are needed. We have taken over the packing work, the collection of the items and the container loading. The container was transported from our warehouse in Schaffhausen to a warehouse by sea freight via Antwerp, Abidjan to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
